Can't Find Key Locations?...How about If You Had the Right Map!

World of Warcraft - Maps @ WorldofWar.net - The Unofficial World of Warcraft Site: "he game world in World of Warcraft is very large and in this section you can find maps to key locations which will help you in your adventuring. This section is continually being added to highlight key locations in the game world. As more locations are discovered more 'hot spots' will be added to each map section.
We have started the map from the world view and you can zoom in and out of each region and major city locations. Note that some maps also show key monster/quest locations, ideal if you get stuck and need to complete a quest to move on."

Not a bad resource to look at!

Is World of WarCraft For Everyone?

World of Warcraft News, Trailers, Screenshots, Previews, Reviews, Guides -- World of Warcraft Vault: "Posted by Duessa at 2005-03-23 20:47:41

I somewhat fit under the slow leveling category, but that is by choice. There are those that do not suck at leveling but prefer not to be a power gamer because they have been there, done that and bought that t-shirt several times. I came to WoW instead of EQ2 because of the fact that it was a game that I could enjoy with my friends and be very laid back and move at my own pace which is what I needed working full time and taking a full load at UNC. It's nice to see someone write an article that is not all about the hard core gamers but the casual gamers that are now more frequent. Nice piece and a good read. Looking forward to the next one. "

WoW is for everyone, enjoy it no matter what your dedication.
Good on you!

Do You Have Your Daily Fix...Whats Your Drug Of Choice?...Mines WoW!

Made by Peer Pressure: World Of Warcraft: "I love this game. Simple straight forward statement 'I love it'. This is what happens when you beta test a game for nearly a year. It is such a masterpiece. MMORPGs have been promising a portal effect for years. WOW delivers on that promise by taking you to another world and let you go anywhere and do anything. I would recommmend this experience to anyone."

Talk about escaping the dredges of the world, if anything can help, WoW definitely has to be up there with the best of them!

What Makes World of WarCraft a Favorite?

World of Warcraft | CmdrFenix.org: "PvP is actually fun! The game doesn't really lag out if you get large groups of people on the screen.
Solo questing is possible. One of my biggest gripes about Star Wars Galaxies was its reliance on grouping in order to make any real money.
The whole concepts of instances. Being able to go into a specific area without fear of random groups interfering is really nice.
The armor and weapons all are fully repairable. Another gripe about Star Wars Galaxies was that all gear was only repairable to a point. "

Here, Here, Hail To World of WarCraft!

Would You Like To Get Into The Brain Of Your WoW Competitors?

MMORPG.COM - Your Headquarters for Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games!: "PARC PlayOn Blog WoW Server-Side Player Data
Every day, millions of players interact with each other in MMOs. Imagine the gold-mine of social data that is accumulating on the server-side. It's a pity that it's so hard to get access to that data. This is changing though with games like World of Warcraft that allow third-party census mods.
Several researchers at PARC have devised an automated system that cycles through 3 servers for both Alliance and Horde and performs a census every 15 minutes. This longitudinal data provides a way to answer interesting questions about online social behavior. For example:
- Does guild size vary across server types?
- Do players in guilds spend more time in the game than those not in guilds?
- What percentage of players are grouped at any given moment?
For the answers to these questions and more, come visit us at the new PlayOn Blog: http://blogs.parc.com/playon/

13 Year Old Kid Argues With 68 Year Old Doctor On WoW!

IFTF's Future Now: Is World of Warcraft the American Dream?: "What I especially find interesting with massive multiplayer games, are the way they turn the normal society hierarchy upside down. As Blizzard's community manager Della Bitta says:
'You literally can see a 68-year-old doctor arguing with a 13-year-old about some obscure gameplay issue, like how paladins should be nerfed,' Mr. Della Bitta said.
'The only real way to determine status on the message boards is the level of your character. If you're Level 60, what you say immediately has weight. But if you're only like Level 5, you could make a perfectly valid point on something and everyone will be like, 'Shut up, what do you know?' And if you're a doctor or lawyer or something in real life, you're probably not used to that, so we see the frustrations.' "
